The Imperial Ministry of Finance and Treasury is the Treasury and Finance Ministry of the Calathrinan Empire. The Ministry is led by the Finance Minister.
Duties[]
The offical duties of the Minsitry of Finance and Treasury include:
- Managing Imperial finances;
- Collecting taxes, duties, and all money paid to and due to the Empire, and paying all bills of the Empire;
- Producing all postage stamps, currency, and coinage;
- Managing government accounts and the Calathrinan public debt;
- Supervising national banks and thrift institutions;
- Advising, organizing, and executing on domestic and international financial, monetary, economic, trade and tax policy – fiscal policy being the sum of these, and the ultimate responsiblity of the Parilament;
- Enforcing Imperial finance and tax laws;
- Investigating and prosecuting tax evaders, counterfeiters, forgers, smugglers, illicit spirits distillers, and gun law violators.
